1 May 2020I was only able to live a short time in Chapel Hill, but I still dream of it. They perfectly mixed an urban atmosphere with an abundance of nature. The tall tall pines, stunning hiking trails, places of worship from old school to progressive, the great schools, ect.. My daughter and I rode the bus one afternoon and honestly every single young person respecfully said hello and goodbye to the bus driver!! I'm still in awe.

1 May 2020Hello, My name is Herb.
I am a 62 yr.old ,married man ,and prior service Army veteran.
I am researching areas to relocate and move to, in the S/E United States.
We have been in West Texas for 30+ years and its time for a change.
We have some family in the North Carolina Area as well.
Is there anything you can tell me about your town or area
that you think we would need to know?
The good & the bad areas or towns , crime, rental homes or average price(s) ,
Is there any V.A. clinics/Hospital in that area or not. Large cities is definitely a no go. 🙂
I played music for 30 years so any concert or entertainment information in that area would also be of interest to me.
Any information you share would be greatly appreciated.
God bless and thank you for your assistance,
Herb 🙂

1 May 2020So I just bought a home here http://www.drhorton.com/North-Carolina/Raleigh-Durham/Cary and I have been so happy with my choice, the beauty of NC is unparalleled and the people are the salt of the earth. I haven't been to really any of these places but I am sure they are amazing! If you want a real list hit me up.

Video Insights
1 May 2020Lots of places they left out, but overall a good vid. They could have highlighted better on Weaver Street Market or University mall / Carr Mill mall. Campus is always fun to explore, but they didn't mention iconic campus stuff like The Pit, The Well, or the Bell Tower. There's also some amazing ice cream places here (like the Maple View Farm Country Store), but overall this video made decent highlights & captured enough of the feel. I love living here in Chapel Hill, even if just as a local and not as a UNC student.
