  1. Hi Ryan, to me, media is doing too much in this pandemic!! medical people are saying that this disease is same as SARS, MERS. People are terrifying, yes we need to take some distance, same as when somebody is suffering with cough and or catch cold. this is very much devastating and stressing situation. China is recovering now, China was suffering for more or less 5 months only, hopefully we will do shorter in months as long as we are strict to ourselves. We just need to stay healthy and keep ourselves fit to do things. Your traveling will be continued soon, don't worry, my prayers for you too. Stay positive and keep hoping, i know this sounds cliche but we need some patient and stay positive. Things come and go, this is just matter of time, yes, we don't know when, but if we have some patient, it will be gone soon. Keep the faith and spirit.. stay safe and healthy. God bless you.

  3. Hey Ryan! I live next door to your mom…I'm using her wifi right now LOL (I baked her cookies as a bribe)… We were chatting about the gongshow at airports in March… demanding(/strongly suggesting) citizens come home only to be in a crowd of unmasked people lining up to wait to go through Canadian customs. It wasn't long after that new cases increased exponentially.

For years I couldn't afford to travel internationally (because I spent most of my disposable income to compete in sports in North America) then finally bit the bullet and maxed out credit cards and paid them off, knowing that the absolute global freedom Canadian's enjoyed may not be long-lasting… That was in 2017. I came back East in 2012 from living in the west coast mountain life 7 years ago after career ending injuries, mostly to be closer to family, especially sick and aging ones. I miss it and the lifestyle but I could never get the time back I've been able to spend with my grandparents. (I'll be 35 on Friday and I had three grandparents in their 90s until a few months ago). But completely unexpectedly, possibly due to self-isolation or news consumption or general paranoia, I became too afraid to fly (no flights for four years at all) and be in crowds– spurred by news stories of planes going and down and missing, mass shootings, and terrorism events like those in London, Manchester, Beirut, Nice and Barcelona. I pushed through it 3 years ago and managed to travel to all my ancestral homelands, as well as a few other places. And I've been in Coastal Mountains or the Rockies twice a year since then. It wasn't what I'd dreamed of as a teenager, but it has made all the difference during times like now, confined mainly to the imaginative limits of a computer and phone, which, in 2020 seem limitless thanks to video-savvy adventurers such as yourself. Although my search history seems to be more micro-molecular than macro-mountaineering lately.

I do think things will return, with procedural changes, to some level of the same freedom for travellers from developed countries– but they say that Singapore passports are among the best travel with, maybe mores after this crisis. If we want to be welcomed around the world, we have to lower the risk that we will carry or transmit. After all, there would be no "Canadian citizenship" without the smallpox and influenza epidemics.

  4. Hi ..I totally agreed with your opinions, although I try to be positive every seconds, but I did afraid & concern about my future career.Even quarantine for 14days,and healthy but doin the shooting process is very high risk right now.. its a very heavy topic, but sorry I laugh out when I imagine watching your cooking video on youtube…and I think no one have the answer until now ๐Ÿ™
