Ian Poole's Transport Journey Weblog Scotland Pt. 1 – Positioning Transfer

So it’s time to get our Scotland vacation off and underway and we’re going to begin with our positioning transfer to get us into Scotland

Our day begins on Stafford station awaiting the 0918 Avanti West Coast service to Preston to vary at Crewe so we are able to get the 1010 Avanti West Coast service to Glasgow Central

Then after taking a stunning little Enviro 200MMC on the (not so) free shuttle bus round to Glasgow Queen Road, we get to lastly style one of many HST units all the best way as much as Inverness

However the enjoyable do not cease there as a result of after a chew to eat, it is onto the platform at Inverness to get the Highland Chieftain rolling in after which the Caledonian Sleeper heading out earlier than retiring for the evening
